Carretera Austral

Winding over 1000km from the evergreen cordillera to the Southern Ice Field, the Carretera Austral offers an impressive amount of spectacular views on volcanoes, fjords, lakes, rocky mountains and glaciers. Wildlife such as whales and sealions, pumas and guanacos as well as a high number of birds including condors and nandus can be seen.

Coyhaique is the central point of the area being the main access for flights, land transports and boats. One day journeys will allow you to visit glaciers, rain forest, rivers, lakes and local mountains and to practise hiking, horse riding, boating as well as flying.
