 PANQUI HOT SPRINGS
Termas de Panqui literally means "Cougar Hot Springs" in Mapudungun, the language of the Mapuche (Mapu = Earth, Che = People). We are nestled deep in the temperate rain forest of southern Chile, with an abundance of huge glacially carved lakes, mirroring the white peaks of the volcanoes in the southern Andes.
Hot water springs up on both sides of Apple Creek, which flows through the Retreat Center, feeding various pools designed for your rest. Adjoining the meadow is a warm mud bath to enjoy and play in the healing properties of the Earth (available only in summer). Imagine ancient forest, clean streams and waterfalls!
You can find a comfortable and warm Mini-Hotel with a spacious Aufenthaltsraum room on the first floor, thinking specially for meditacion, yoga or another activity. Tipis (traditional dwellings of the North American Sioux Indians) are set up conveniently among the hot pools. Dip in immediately upon rising, and before drifting off soundly to sleep, with the moon and stars dancing to the lullaby of the river. And if you like to sleep directly under the sky, we have a place for camping.
The vegetarian restaurant serves two meals and a hearty american breakfast. Homemade integral bread, müsli, real coffee, and try the tasty mapuche food!
Four pools between 33°C and 43°C (95° F and 108° F), and a Therapy - Meditation pool 36°C (98°F). Free yourself with a Watsu (Acquatic Shiatsu), a Massage with Aromatherapy or Reiki (Universal Energie Therapy) and if you visit us in the winter, jump into the swimming pools on snowy days!
